On 16th March 2019, I went to a District meeting at Basildon, and had a ring in the glass tower of St Martin of Tours. It was incredibly windy and at first we didn’t know if we would be able to ring, but it was okay (the tower sways a lot whilst people are ringing).
Then over to the church for a service followed by tea.
The glass tower was built in 1999 and there was a wonderful cake to celebrate its 20th birthday.
